Just reaffirmed my truth. I envisioned my trees held together by supportive hands each time the wind howled and the house in a protective field. All ended up well here.

I fully support allowing space and giving yourself permission for those unpleasant feelings to be noticed, felt, heard. When we say or think I "should" be over this, moving forward and we are not ready those feelings persist and often magnify. Notice them, "there's that feeling again" - breath into it allowing it permission to exist. Often this helps us detach from it enough that it subsides.

Sweet reminder! I had a dream this morning that an adminstrator was ranting about something and in the dream I was taking it personally. I remember telling myself it had nothing to do with my actions, but still feeling persecuted. Now I read this--perfect shoring up for me to start the school year with.

I use this with parents, then acknowledge their obvious love for their child saying I know they want the best for the student and ask how can we work together to accomplish this.

You're welcome, Jude! Sea Fairies was a lovely little diversion and at the same time had little bits of philosophy that fit beautifully with my weekend. I remembered Cap'n Bill and Trot from an Oz book.

Haha That button is wonderful! Thanks for the great laugh and reminder that it is all ok!
And brain transplants can be risky, because you could end up with someone else's limiting beliefs. Oy!

"Get payed for something else, then, and incorporate what you love into your life in a different way. Volunteer. Do what you love part-time."

Yes! I'm with this one. What value does what you love to do stimulate or reward? Align your actions with that value as often as possible and feel a glow of happiness/satisfaction that spreads into other areas of your life.

Life's too short to take ourselves too seriously! Gotta laugh with those you work with/for, especially when you spend the biggest part of your day with them. Laughter releases stress and floods the body with "feel good" checmicals.
